In order to get the best interest rate you will have to do some research. Even if you are a college student you can get a credit card. The same rules apply as with any other person with no credit. You will still want to find the lowest interest rate. You will still want to try to stay away from any annual fees but sometimes you might not have a choice.
You can also go to your retail stores for credit. Most of the bigger retail stores have their own credit card services. Credit cards thru them are the same as any other credit card company. The only difference is again that the interest rates are different. This is an option that might work better for you. Sometimes you can use that credit card in other establishments.
No matter what you choose you still want to make sure you read the agreement. Know what the interest rates are and any annual fees. Be responsible for your spending habits as well as your payment habits. Eventually you will have the upper hand when it comes to choosing a credit card.
